Since giving a fond farewell to the ‘Static’ series in 2014, Josh Stewart has been devoted to his esteemed distribution company, Theories of Atlantis. Operating out of his apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn – the lack of a full length monkey (and camera bag) on his back has allowed Josh more time to focus on the Theories brand itself.
The HUF Worldwide team took to the home of found Keith Hufnagel with power and finesse from Brad Cromer and Austyn Gillette, accompanied by amateur riders Dick Rizzo, Jake Anderson and Matt Gottwig and special Brendan Carroll, on this big apple excursion.
Cromer and Gillette deliver NBDs on a couple of NY spot staples and the footage of Austyn’s recent fakie 360 flip Transworld cover is every bit as incredible as you would imagine. This also marks Rizzo, Anderson and Gotwig’s first trip since their introduction to HUF and ‘The Flamboyant Three’ are definitely solid additions to the DBC who you will be seeing a lot more of.
What’s a standard day like for you guys; do you work jobs, go to college or anything like that?
Dick: Right now, it’s just skating. I pulled myself out of college a month ago, shit was bugging me out and I decided that now wasn’t the time.
Josh: Usually I make some breakfast and coffee and then hit the streets to skate, weather permitting. I graduated from college last spring and since then I’ve just been skating and working odd jobs.
